We have received a lot of very pretty Christmas cards this year, which has made me feel bad that we don't send out Christmas cards. Maybe next year, but for now, you all get this very nice blog post/email.
This year has been a great year for us.
Sterling
Sterling has gotten amazingly big this year. He turned 4 in February. He played T-ball and Soccer this year, he like soccer best. He also started Pre-K which is a preschool taught by the school district. Sterling has a great imagination and has become fascinated with the Old West and in particular with a ghost town called Goldfield that is a few miles from our house. He loves to treasure hunt and likes to go geocaching. He also loves cooking and playing on his dirt pile in the backyard. He uses cars and buildings and creates a little world in the backyard. He is a great help at home and is a really good kid.
Avalon
Avalon turned 2 this year. She has done a lot of growing. She is still the funniest little ball of energy you will ever meet, but she is also now 100% girl. She likes clothes, shoes, Strawberry Shortcake and Barbie Dolls. She took a cheerleading class this year and still talks about her "jumping" class. She loves her big brother and follows him around. She has gotten a lot of attitude, but at the same time has become my little helper. She loves to shop and when you ask her why she will tell you that she likes to buy things. She is always game to have fun and is a joy to have around.
Truman
On July 5th, we had a little boy that we named Truman James Russell. He was 7 lbs 12 oz. and has grown into a big baby. As most babies, he loves to eat and sleep. He also loves his brother and sister very much. They can always make him laugh. Truman loves to play and is a happy, easy going baby. We love him very much and are so glad he made it to us safely.
The kids have been very busy and have had a great year.
Aaron and I
Aaron and I have had a wild year, keeping up with our kids. Aaron has been climbing the corporate ladder and is now in charge of a group of around 12 people. He really loves managing and even though work is a lot more stressful now, he seems to thrive in it.
Besides being on bed rest and having a baby, I have kept busy redoing furniture and working on various and assorted projects. I am also working a little from home and trying to keep three very ingenious children occupied.
At this time of the year, may you remember the true meaning of the season, which is not Santa Clause, but I thought theses pictures were cute.
Love,
The Russells
