January has been a fun month. After we got back from Idaho for Christmas, Aaron's dad came into town so that he and Aaron could go to the BCS Championship football game. Aaron's dad went to Oregon and so they are big ducks fans and were excited to see them play in a championship.
That weekend we took the kids to Apache Movie Ranch days. Basically, Apache Movie Ranch is a barn a little ways from us that was used to film movies like Chiro (with Elvis). They had a little festival where they had a few booths, some stuff to look at, a few "actors" that we had never heard of and a gunfight. It was kind of fun. The kids enjoyed it. Sterling is big into guns and cowboys right now.
Truman turned 6 months on January 5th. At his appointment he was in the 75th percentile on everything. He weighs 19lbs 3 oz and 27 inches tall. He is still a happy little guy, but he likes mommy a lot which is sweet, but a little smothering. He insists on sleeping right next to me in bed and in the evening he likes me to hold him while he falls asleep. His brother and sister make him laugh a lot and he likes to play with his daddy. he is very anxious to get mobile and I am dreading it.
Sterling and Avalon have gotten into gunfights since Christmas. They like to try and have a gun fight at least every night. Everyone has to wear a cowboy hat and it is great fun.
So last week, Avalon insisted on wearing her Cinderella dress to church. This is how she looked. Aaron and I figured that 1) at least it was a dress and 2) what is the difference between a little girl wearing a princess dress and a teenager wearing their prom dress? Oh well, we're probably bad parents.
On Wednesday, Aaron took Sterling to the Suns game and so Avalon and I went to get pedicures (oh and Truman came too, but he just watched.). Avalon loves to have pedicures. She calls them "petitures". She is 100% girl.
