March

On March third, Avalon turned 4.  Avalon's birthday was on a Saturday and so she had daddy home all day.  For Avalon's birthday, we had a lunch with my parents and Klint and Talia.  Avalon wanted chinese sundays for her birthday lunch and she picked out a little stuffed dog to go on her cake.

For her birthday, Avalon got a new bike with a basket, a lallaloopsy doll, a tangled doll, a doll stroller, a hoola hoop, glitter glue and some coloring stuff.  She also got a pink dog and crown from Klint and Talia.

After lunch, we all went ice skating. Avalon had wanted to try it for her birthday. She didn't like it as much as she thought she would. It was a lot harder that the kids expected.

Right before Spring break, Sterling had a week of school where they got to dress crazy every day.  This was crazy hair day.

Also, in March, Aaron and I went to Salt Lake City to buy a new (used) car. Aaron traded in his BMW for a Honda Odyssey minivan. I think it was a hard trade for him. He now drives my acura.

Also in February and March, Sterling's school read the book the Trumpet of the Swan.  When they finished, they had a little school carnival.  Avalon got her face painted.

The kids also made and raced swan boats.  It was really fun and reminded me of school carnivals from when I was a kid.

That was our March.  Construction on the basement continues as well as on the backyard.  Once everything is done with that, I'll post pictures.
