Friday, we went to the zoo with Halee (my sister) and her kids. The kids had a great time. The older ones had lists of animals that they wanted to visit. Sterling insisted that he wanted to see a panda bear and I tried to explain tht the zoo here doesn't have panda bears. He looked at me and said "of course, they have panda bears." Then he pointed at the bears on the map. They weren't panda bears, but he was satisfied anyway. The older two kids ran through the whole zoo. The younger two ate through the whole zoo. Our zoo has been remodeled recently and has a Fisher Price Little People play area and a really cool cave splash pad. The kids had a fun time playing and petting goats. Avalon was not amused by the goats. They just made her nervous. Paul loved the goats because they were fuzzy. The problem is that he was cuddling up to their back ends. Paul loves anything furry. Pretty much anyone dressed in a fuzzy costume (cow, easter bunny, anything) could kidnap him and he would go happily. It was a great day. Here are some pretty bad pictures from my phone.
Then, Saturday we went to Amazing Jake's. For those of you who have never been, it is kind of like Dave and Buster's for kids or Chucky Cheese's. There is a big buffet that actually has pretty good food and then there are rides for the kids. I didn't take a lot of pictures. Sterling loved to ride the teacups and Avalon had a blast pretending she was driving the race car games. I took a couple of pictures of Avalon on the car driving.
