Shortly after Quin was born, we found out that he had a hole in his heart. In mid April, we found out that Quin's heart had become enlarged and that the doctor wanted him to possibly undergo surgery. We went to Primary Children's hospital towards the end of April so that they could perform a sedated echo on his heart. The doctor confirmed that she wanted him to have open heart surgery. Quin will be having open heart surgery this Wednesday. Please keep him in your prayers.
In April, the weather also started to get nice enough that the kids could go outside and play.
Avalon had dance pictures in April. I took these pictures before the photo shoot. I'll post the professional ones when I get them. She is getting very excited for her dance performance at the end of this month. She has two costumes and two dance pieces that she has learned. It will be a very cute recital and she loves dance.
On May 6th, Sterling had a choir concert in school. They sang some really fun songs and gave a great performance.
Also, this May, Sterling's school decided to have a final fundraiser. They turned all of the kids loose on the community selling Value Cards. Sterling has been so excited by this (well mainly by the prizes they have offered), that he has been going out every night with Aaron and Avalon in an attempt to sell these cards. So far he has sold 11 and has put a lot of work into it. I have been impressed that Aaron is supportive enough of our kids to take Sterling out for an hour a night trying to sell these cards.
Summer has finally come and the kids have been playing in the mud. This picture is of our kids with Halee's kids enjoying the mud.
Yesterday, Aaron filmed Quin playing. We figure that he won't be able to do this for the next little while because he will be healing from his surgery.
