My brother, Jeff, found out last week that he has diabetes. He will find out what type on Monday. I guess I am posting this, because my Grandma Batt isn't around to share news anymore.

That is crappy, big time. Hopefully it will just be a type that he can manage by just taking a pill every day or something easy and won't cause big changes in his life.
I guess we all should have been more careful with our consumption of TANG as children...grandma was just sure that TANG was what causes diabetes!
I am sad to hear about this, but hoping for the best.
